Acorns to Oaks - that is their motto for this season and the growth will continue. Making believers off the Fisher Cats and Commishioner Don Fisher, the Acorns hang on to make it an all EASTERN World Series. Series MVP Josh Willingham homered in the ninth and proceded to run the bases, briefly gathering his "acorns" as he rounded second base in full view of the Fisher Cats bench. Hammel then stepped up and slammed the door shut, stealing the win from Chacin. |
