| Carlos Beltran just wants to play for a winner and he shows he can repay that trust clouting a 3-run homer to chase Jaime Garcia and crush the hopes of a victory from the Acorn faithful. It was apparent early that Garcia was not fooling anyone. Going 2+ innings and allowing 8 hits Acorn's Manager Don Thomas had to make it a bullpen game early. But signs of an awakening give the Ann Arbor fans hope of mighty Oaks when the series shifts back to Ann Arbor. A towering homerun by Willingham along with multiple hit games from Morgan and Gonzalez point toward spring growth for the Acorn offense. |

Left fielder Carlos Beltran went deep and had 4 RBI at Great American Bpk as

Beltran helped send the fans home happy. He doubled bringing in a run in the
1st inning and rifled a three-run blast in the 3rd inning. New Hampshire
finished with 11 hits in the victory.
The victory went to Chad Billingsley(1-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs.
